Paid Search/PPC Advertiser Account Manager
Traffic Engine is looking for a motivated individual to join our Search Marketing team as a Direct Advertiser Account Manager on our Ad Exchange system. In this experienced individual contributor level position, working in the dynamic interactive marketing industry, you will work closely with direct advertisers and publishers to meet and exceed marketing goals.

Specifically, the Direct Advertiser Account Manager participates in all aspects of executing high profile clients' search media campaigns, including initial planning, implementation, monitoring, optimization, analysis and reporting. The focus is exclusively on paid search and related PPC campaigns within Traffic Engine's extensive publisher network. The Account Manager is also a key resource for the Smart.core team and is expected to support the management team in training and supporting clients and partners.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES: 
  • • Manage daily execution of paid search campaigns with the Traffic Engine platform.
  • • Analyze performance data and provide intelligent synthesis, interpretation and appropriate action plans based on conclusions.
  • • Communicate with clients on all elements of the campaign, including performance reporting, project status and client goals.
  • • Actively manage paid search campaigns to the clients' weekly and monthly budget goals .
  • • Maintain high levels of up-to-date knowledge of best practices and strategies in the management of online paid media.
  • • Support and assist in developing team members to optimize their performance, contribution and job satisfaction.
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:
  • • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in search engine marketing including:
  • • Familiarity with bid monitoring
  • • Adjustment of search media campaigns across multiple sites
  • • Defining terms and writing effective copy, highly relevant and targeted to clients' products and/or services
  • • Experience with direct client relationship responsibilities includes regular reporting, collaborative strategic planning, and performance management
  • • Experience with internal site visitor reporting/tracking programs or software.
  • • Strong Excel skills
  • • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines.
  • • Demonstrated analytical skills.
  • • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • • Detail-oriented and organized.

  • • Must be able to work with minimal direction often from home.
COMPENSATION:

Candidate will be paid an annual base salary of between $40 - 50K and will have the opportunity to earn performance bonuses based on individual and company performance. Standard employee benefits including company-subsidized health care are also included.

LOCATION:

Candidate will work in our Santa Monica office and must have the flexibility to relocate to Silicon Valley should the company open an office there later this year.

Senior PHP/LAMP Developer

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES: 
  • • Work directly with key partners, internal product managers, and the dev team to define system requirements, work and data process flows, and system design specifications.
  • • Develop, implement and maintain high-volume/high-availability applications.
  • • Help to develop evolving guidelines for data storage, security, and use for Traffic Engine.
  • • Plan, evaluate, and recommend implementation of appropriate open source technologies as needed.
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:
  • • 4+ years experience developing web LAMP applications using PHP in high volume environments
  • • Advanced PHP, familiarity with and ability to code in other languages (ASP, Perl, etc).
  • • Extensive experience with UNIX\Linux
  • • Solid understanding of OO programming and MVC frameworks
  • • Broad knowledge of current programming technologies and practices with willingness to continue learning new technology.
  • • Strong foundation in MYSQL and relational databases
  • • High traffic, public website experience or ability
  • • Skills preferred - some exposure to one or more: cassandra, hbase, memcache
COMPENSATION:

Candidate will be paid an annual base salary of between $70 - 95K and will have the opportunity to earn performance bonuses based on individual and company performance. Standard employee benefits including company-subsidized health care are also included.
